Youth Swimming - Aquatics
Philosophy - To provide supervised play to members' children in a safe, clean, and wholesome area.
The Hardin County Family YMCA Sea Dragons and swim programs offer swimmers of all levels a chance to compete with local area swim programs. For more information see below.
Swim Starters
For children just getting started in the water, ages 6mo - 36mo. Children must have adult in water with them. Promotes fall-in safety and just helps child to be less afraid of the water. Makes learning a fun experience and they feel safe because someone they trust is with them. Work on flipping over in water, floating on back, and crawling out of pool. A parent/ault needs to be in the water with the child for this class.

Cost: $20/member / $40/program participants
Swim Basics
This class is for the beginning swimmer that is just beginning to learn to swim.
Schedule:
Ages 3-5 (Preschool) -- Wednesday 5:00pm-5:45pm
Ages 6 and up -- Wednesday 6:00pm-6:45pm
Cost: $30/member / $60/program participants
Swim Strokes
Swim Strokes is an advanced swim class for swimmers who have advanced beyond Swim Basics class.

Cost: $40/member / $80/program participants
Private Swim Lessons
One-on-one lessons for children and adults.
Cost: $10/member for 30 minute lesson / $20/non-member for 30 minute lesson

Sea Dragons Swim Team
The Hardin Co. Family YMCA Swim Team is for youth that are interested in competitive swimming or learning about competitive swimming. Many qualities are developed through competitive swimming, such as physical conditioning, self-confidence, sportsmanship, character building, and self-discipline.
Registration is in September following the Hardin County Fair. The season runs late-September through March. Fees listed below may be subject to change each season.
SEA DRAGONS! Registration Now Available - For interested youth swimmers, the Hardin County Familiy YMCA Sea Dragons team will be participating again the Fall (2021) and Winter (2022). Registration is now available for the upcoming season, download the registration form and return to the YMCA. More details to follow.
