Beginning March 10th, we will be temporarily closing our pool for much needed repairs. Not only is this for the safety of our members and guests, but also for the future of our pool. Watch for updates on our Facebook page and in our weekly column in the Kenton Times for updates.
Reminder: As a Hardin County Family YMCA member, you are encouraged to use the YMCA pools in surrounding counties through our reciprocity program. Thank you for your patience during these repairs.
NEW CLASS - Enrich is a new weekly class that will be held each Friday at 5.45am. It is a combination cardio, strength and relaxation class all set to the backdrop of powerful praise and worship music. Feed your mind, body, soul and spirit! Begins in April. FREE FAMILY EVENT! - Habitat for Fish and Us! Join the YMCA staff on Earth Day, April 22, 2018 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Boy Scout Lake. We will pick up trash around the lake and learn how our trash effects the environment and what we can each do to help. See attached information sheet for additional details.
COMING SOON! - Magical Monarchs We will be planting additional butterfly gardens behind the YMCA to enhance our current Monarch habitat this April. Then from April through September Members and guests will be able to observe, learn, and enjoy the monarch caterpillars as they transform from caterpillar to butterfly.
Buggy Ride Coming! - A bicycle tour of Amish country in Hardin County will take place on June 2, 2018. Rides of 6/15/30 miles will again be offered beginning/ending from McCullough Industries starting at 8am. Light lunch food will be available at the end of the ride. Sign-up ahead saves you money versus registering day of race. Registration form attached or can be filled out at the Hardin County Family YMCA.
FAMILY FISHING DAY! - Join the Hardin County Family YMCA and the Ohio Department of Wildlife for a co-sponsored Family Fishing Day. The Family Fishing Day is to be help on Saturday June 06, 2018 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Boy Scout Lake in Kenton, OH. Additional details on the information sheet.
GO FLY A KITE! - 2nd Annual 'Go Fly a Kite' Day Scheduled! Mark your calendar for Saturday June 16, 2018 to attend this years' 'Go Fly a Kite'. Event will be held from noon-3:00pm at the YMCA Corner Kick Soccer Complex on SR 292. FREE KITES for the first 150 kids to build and fly. P.I.G.S. Aloft kite club from Cincinnati will also be on hand to thrill the crowds with their BIG kites! Food truck along with Kona shaved ice truck will be on hand too.
BABY BOOST classes in May!!! - Baby boost is an awesome new sensory class being offered to babies from 6-24 months with one of their parents. Class aims at promoting the healthy development of your baby through a series of activities such as baby yoga, baby massage, sensory activities, song and dance and more! Once a week class - Wednesday mornings 11:45am-12:30pm. Call or stop in the Y to register. Check out the video below to learn more!

To better plan and serve its' members, the Hardin County Family YMCA unveils its new procedure for signing up for classes each month! Sign-ups for future next month's classes need to be done by the last Thursday of each month and have a minimum of 4 signed-up in a class for it to be held. Tumbling is one part of the popular sport of gymnastics and has grown to be a large part of cheerleading and dance today. Not limited to kids in gymnastics or cheerleading, but for all athletes looking to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Classes meet Saturdays. Instructed by Tori McDaniel.
